We just got back from Brandon's seminary graduation

It was in Texas and I'm pooped. I'm sure I'll be full of insights later, but the boy is moving to CA and right now I'm just tired.

We did get to see SM3, JohnBoy, and I thought it was great. Not as good as Brandon getting his MDiv, but still good

    Yippee, Brandon and parents!!!

What a wondrous occasion, and I know how proud you must be of him! I am not sure how your denomination's procedures work. For the Lutherans, hubby graduated from seminary, and became ordained after accepting his first call. Is it the same for the Baptists (if I am remembering your denomination correctly)? How is the call hunting coming for Brandon?

May our Lord be with him.

Nanners, Brandon is going to CA. He headed out this morning (to San Diego btw). Baptists are more loosely (less loosely ??) held together than Lutherans even in the SBC. We'll see what God has planned for the child out there

    He's young, single, footloose, well qualified . . .

And thanks to everyone. We are so very proud. It was the best & most uplifting graduation service we've been too (and we've been to tons).

Pictures are terrific! I will look forward to them.

You bring back some memories from when hubby graduated from seminary. I had strep throat, and ended up calling in sick that Friday before our huge family party. It was rather bittersweet as we lost hubby's mom and my father within a year due to cancer, so their loss was looming. One of Roger's brothers took a potshot in the windshield on the Congress Expressway from an overpass. They never found out who shot the bullet. Either Roger's father or his oldest brother picked up my mom to attend the ceremony and party, as she never learned how to drive.

If your denomination holds a special service for Brandon's ordination, which is separate for ours, try to attend. It is so uplifting and a true spiritual celebration!
