Rats. That other district made a big mistake, billybob!
As you say, Onward!
This hasn't been a real good day for me.
Did I mention that my aging ford got bashed in a campground along the nantahala river a few weeks ago? The other driver's insurance company declared my car a "total loss" (I dunno...it still runs really good) because the damage to the side panels exceeds 2/3 of the blue book value of the car. They offered me that value in return for them getting the car, but I opted to just take the money for the damage and run. My budget cannot absorb the car payment on a new car just now and IF I ever get another car, it WILL be new. The used car game has not played well for me. but I am making a brief sgtory long....I cannot find my car title, so had to request a copy and must wait 30 days to get it. Yuck!
Been fighting with my moldy tent much of the afternoon (now HOW did we get it to standup???) and finally have it propped ip...sort of. Got let it air out for a few d ays then need to wash it down.
We return to school tmorrow...
Yep. I didn't get the kob in Polk County. Finaly emailed and then called today. They have sent me a letter, I am told. I drove all the way out there and I had to email THEM and call them.
This one hurt a bit. Thought I had this one. I really did. It was not to be.
Alas...one gets lemons, one makes lemonade. What else can I do?
I admit to NOT particularly looking forward to the loud talking, the screaming, the sagging pants, the bogus accusations of racism, the excuses....Nor am I particularly fond of having to be on the lookout for drug dealers, gang signs on the walls (and my door), and having to look over my shoulder now and then because Sur 17 has still sworn a vandetta, last time I heard.
But someone has got to do this job and this year it is gonna be me.
The ones who are decent people (and that is the majority), those (of all races, creeds, etc etc) who want to make something out of themselves and their lives....they deserve a chance. I'm gonna do my level best to give 'em all I can, just like I did last year.
Onward.... :?

I'm so sorry. What a horrible way to start the new year. On the bright side, you did some pretty awesome traveling this summer. Hopefully that will balance out some of your disappointment.

I'm shocked. I thought you had that job sewn up. Dang!
Good luck this school year!
I was going to say something *stronger*, but knew just as forceful a sentiment was portrayed in those same number of different letters, and how fitting that you should quote Shakespeare in accordance.Originally Posted by JohnBoy
