We've had some awful luck with living things....

Two Chinese Water Dragons have died on us in the space of two years. Recently a Chinese Dwarf Hamster bit the dust; another escaped.

Our Newts and dwarf frogs seem to be doing okay.

    What's going on here???

Billybob, sorry about your critter problems. We're thinking of some day getting a dwarf hamster. How did you like having it? Pros/cons? Aren't they fairly "new"? Where did you get yours? thanks for any info

we got our hamsters from Pet Smart. It is best to get Chinese Dwarf hamsters rather than Siberian, I was told. The Chinese Dwarfs do not bite.

The kids seem to like them. Only problem is, they do not live long...a year or two...

What are the conditions you are keeping them in? Have you enquired how long they are actually meant to live for??
