    Your most embarrassing moment

The other night a couple teachers and myself go together and we had the best laugh sharing embarrassing moments! Both of theirs were better than mine!

I can start us off. I was at a meeting about a child and the classroom teacher was trying to remember the person who tutors the child. I had a conversation going on with another person and said, "Well you know she has no memory" I was talking about the child. Well the teacher thought I was talking about her and said, "Well that is true but I try" she was so sincere! We all stopped and laughed and the moment was shared with all at the next faculty meeting.

Now who is next to share their story?

The day I dismissed my class and walked into an after-school staff meeting. I had to present something. I stood up, looked down at my feet, and saw that I was wearing 2 different shoes. Blue on one foot, black on the other. It only took me 9 hours to notice!

    Worst moment ?
As a new teacher in Kindergarten - actually my second day !!! (26 years ago) I stopped some kids throwing snowballs. Taking a snowball from a boy - and telling him : This is not allowed - I threw the ball . further than I have ever thrown. Over three houses - and straight through an expensive window.
It took the owner two days to get the window fixed !!!!
Embarrassing ? Thats putting it mildly !
But - Did I learn from this ?
Sure - and I got a great story to tell the children of today !

I had a student who had bumped her knee at recess. She kept pulling up her pant leg to show me the bruise and tell me that it hurt. After doing this about 5 times I got fed up and told her to pull her pants down. Oops!

I was witness to another one. I don`t know about other areas around the world but during the winter, it`s very common for students to take a handful of snow and throw it in another students face. This is not allowed at school at a safety issue. This act is called a SNOW JOB. Little Johnny had been accused of giving a snow job to little Billy who was one of my students. The teacher from the other class room took them both into the hallway and proceeded to ask little Johnny if it was try that he had given little Billy a Bl_ _ Job. Oops! She turned a lovely shade of crimson while I struggled to keep a straight face. Luckily this went over the heads of the 2 kids. Sorry about the off-colour story, but I thought you`d enjoy it.
