    Is your spring break intact?

Or did some of it get eaten up by foul winter weather?

We haven't had a snow day yet this year 8O 8O

Can't remember when we've gotten through January without one. We had a really, really bad ice/snow storm over Christmas break, and have had a weekend snow or two, but so far, so good.

Of course, we still have to get through February, and we have been known to have snow in March. But that's okay -- I'd like a snow day or two over the next couple of week.

    Here's to spring break:

We've lost two days so far, but now as Bitsy said, another storm is in the forecast for this weekend. We could be out on Monday due to ice. Spring break? What spring break?

Haven't had a snow day yet.....if there's an optional workday I'll opt not to show up, unless the weather's really not bad and it was a snowflake that hit the ground provoking panic.

That often happens here, as I'm sure you know, JB! But now I hear they are forecasting it to turn to rain and be in the 40's by Sunday afternoon - yay! I don't want another snow day.

    Mine is on

We don't have foul winter weather. Don't have a clue what that stuff is they call snow. Ours start March 10 (Thur) early dismissal and we don't return until 2 Mondays from that.

    Wow, Lynn - that's early!

Our spring break doesn't begin until Good Friday! This is the 3rd year that our spring break has been different from the surrounding areas - the first year, it was changed because it supposedly interfered with testing. Last year it was moved to Easter, as it is this year. The first year, it was quite a mess - the county schools had the "old" one (like the one y'all have), and so did the local universities, but our district was different. Those who teach in our district but have children in the county had a problem with trying to figure out what to do about vacations, child care, etc. Then last year the county moved to have theirs the same time as we do - but still, the universities have it the week before, which wreaks havoc on student teachers' schedules. Another problem is baseball, track, and tennis scheduling - Tupelo, Amory, etc. have one spring break, we have another. It's tricky.
